REBOUND
（Garments, Hats & Brooches）
This collection draws inspiration from Xiguchen (惜古衬), a traditional Chinese book conservation technique also known as Paotaozhuang (袍套装). It uses protective paper linings to support book pages, evoking the image of dressing a book in robes.
Reversing this metaphor—from “dressing books” to “books becoming clothing”—the collection translates the tradition’s emphasis on preservation and longevity into contemporary menswear.
Inspired by the round-collared robes of the Ming dynasty, the designs reinterpret their layering, side slits and shoulder fastenings to create new silhouettes. Offset seams, fragmented edges and displaced structures evoke pages, memories and identities shifting, migrating and being reassembled over time.
Rather than concealing damage, the collection embraces absence and fragmentation as traces of time. Here, repair is not a return to an original state, but the creation of a new wholeness that acknowledges loss and allows the old and the new to coexist.

Paper Born

Paperborn originates in Anhui Province, China and follows the Eastern papermaking logic oftransformation, cultivation, and formation.
It translates the shifting states of fibre—through dispersion, sedimentation, and shaping—into a wearable language of process across garments and jewellery.
Within this sequence, formation is not forced into completion,but gradually revealed through an attentive response to material nature.
Identity, likewise, is not predefined,but nurtured through continuous becoming rather than fixed by definition.

Threaded Identities presents six looks,
six wearable “books.”
In each piece, I merge papermaking heritage and bookbinding language
into the structure and textures of clothing—
allowing every fold, seam, and unfolding
to become an act of rewriting the self.
This series is for anyone still growing, shifting,
and learning to stay soft in a world that keeps changing—
for those who choose sincerity even as life reshapes them.
The resilience of paper is our resilience.
It holds the quiet restraint of Chinese aesthetics,
and the quiet force of something breaking through the soil,
reaching for light.
